Chichester & Goodwood are approximately 15 miles to the West

There is ample shopping in Chichester, along with fine restaurants and the Festival theatre. Goodwood is famous for its racing calendar and festival of speed. To the South West is the pretty area around West Wittering, Dell Quay and Arundel, with its antique shops, tea rooms, wildfowl and wetland centre and imposing castle, is closer in.

To the South and South East are the coastal towns of Worthing (10 miles) and Brighton (15 miles) again offering plenty of shopping, restaurant and entertainment opportunities.

Horsham is to the north, with its shops, restaurants and cinema.

The local area of Storrington offers a more relaxed atmosphere, there is a working museum at Amberley and a bird sanctuary just outside the Storrington boundary. There are two golf courses within a 5 mile radius and many garden centres within a 10 mile radius. In season, there are boat trips down the Arun to Arundel and Littlehampton.
